The Listening Room does not ask you to open an account. The manuscript you paste or upload stays in your browser. It is not written into a database on this site. When you press Speak, or Hear this voice, that passage is sent to a speech service so the audio can be made, then returned to your browser. Do not paste anything you are not willing to have spoken by that service.

A small hit counter on the home page stores a single number of visits. It does not store your name, email, or the text of your book. Your browser remembers, for the session, that it has already been counted, so a refresh is not a new visit.

The bookshop page links to Amazon. Those links include an affiliate tag. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon’s own privacy policy applies once you leave this site.

An ads.txt file at the root of the site names the Google AdSense publisher account for this publication. If advertising is shown, Google may use cookies under its own policy.
